Hi everyone,
My name is Sujay Singh and I have completed my BTech from VIT Vellore in Mechanical domain. I have been working with Wipro for the past 1.5years and joined Programming Pathshala last year in the month of July. I have been preparing with the course “Renaissance” since then.
I won’t lie as it was a bit difficult for me to cope up with the course in the beginning hence took a little longer than I should’ve but somehow managed to keep up with it. One mistake that I did in the beginning of my preparation was that I lacked consistency. I used to study only on the weekends and not during weekdays and it broke the flow of my preparations. Slowly, I started building pace with the course and maintained consistency while giving the maximum efforts to my preparations.
My Journey:
I remember starting to learn Java back in the college days itself plus I am from ICSE background so I got introduced to Java in the earlier days itself. I began with coding in my first year of college but did not keep practising as my core field was Mechanical. By the end of college when campus placements started taking place I realised that companies were looking for candidates, more proficient in Coding and DSA, and I was not good in either of them. I somehow managed to bag a seat with Wipro and after working there for a year, I found Programming Pathshala, a friend recommended this to me and I began with the course Renaissance then itself. The course has helped me a lot in landing at Amazon and it sure has made me a better coder than I could’ve been ever.
My Experience with Renaissance:
First of all, I’d say that this course is the most “Structured” course I have ever come across. Everything that we need to learn is in a proper structure beginning from step 1 then step 2 then step 3 and so on. Before beginning with Renaissance, I used to take some short courses on some other platforms or watch videos on YouTube from here and there, but that clearly did not work for me.
Another thing that I would like to mention here is, Vivek Bhaiya’s teaching style, like even in the pre-recorded videos, he would teach in a manner that I felt like I was sitting in a classroom, with proper pauses and sentences, he keeps one hooked to the course and that’s what I love about his teaching style.
My Resume building process for Amazon:
For Resume it was easy for me as I followed the guidelines given in one of Programming Pathshala’s blogs itself and later sent that to Bharat Bhaiya for screening, once he gave me a heads up, I began applying for companies. I didn’t even have a good project in my hands initially so I got to work on a project with Programming Pathshala’s BRAND NEW APP, which is all set to launch very soon, It comes with some interesting features, such as Downloadable videos, Discussion forums etc, won’t spill all the secrets here, so you can wait and watch for yourself when it launches, haha!
Anyways guys, I will leave now and all that I would like to advise you all is, please keep going, do not lose hope even if it feels tough in the beginning, make sure you are completing all the steps in your preparations and do not skip any step of the course in between.
