Hello Prakhar, tell us a little about yourself.
Hi everyone, this is Prakhar Gupta and I have just given my final semester examination and did my B.tech from GL Bajaj College, Greater Noida.
How did you find out about Programming Pathshala?
I did not have much exposure to coding throughout my college as it focussed mostly on development. Due to COVID, we got a lot of time and I took to myself to learn more about coding. I surfed the internet for the best and most affordable courses for the same and soon learned about the course ‘Renaissance’ at Programming Pathshala. I figured out how to proceed with coding and Programming Pathshala definitely was my correct choice.
Oh nice, so can you tell us about your preparation to becoming SDE?
At first, I started taking part in national-level hackathons and did some internships at service-based companies. When I started getting a stipend from my internships, I thought of investing it in a coding course and I am proud to say that my Investment to Renaissance has been the best investment I have made in my life. Juggling the course and my internships together was getting hectic and thus, I left my internships and dedicated all my focus to the course. There was no other choice for me other than to complete the course, I understood that Coding is the only option to excel and started applying for jobs, soon I got selected for a job but it did not give me satisfaction and I did not enjoy it. As I kept on moving forward with the course, it became easy for me and I became confident about coding. I gained confidence and through consistency I finally cracked SDE at housing.com. It was an amazing journey because each day I learned something new. I feel very good about becoming SDE.
Lovely, can you describe your interview process with Housing.com?
Sure, so my Interview process was very good and I was confident I would get the offer letter. Before applying for Housing.com, I had already done a lot of coding and I was confident about it. As I kept moving forward with the interview, I became more and more confident.
1st round was technical which consisted of coding and puzzle-solving. I was confident I would succeed in this round and it went very well. 2nd round was focused on the subject and even though I was not well versed in it, I was confident about my answers. The third round wasn’t that tough, it was easy. So after my final round I finally received the offer letter.
Is there anything that you would like to say about Programming Pathshala?
I haven’t finished my course yet and I would in fact like to extend my course. As I said, this is the best investment I made and I am very happy I made this choice. I knew Vivek Bhaiya from second year, through videos and knew that he taught very well. I was not apprehensive of taking this course as I had the confidence that this course is what I need to improve my coding skills. The teaching is very good, personal attention is given to students and doubts are resolved. I have recommended this course to my friends and I know they will thank me later because this course has everything a beginner needs to learn about coding. The best part of Programming Pathshala is that Human touch is not missing. The founders are very interactive with the students and they are very down to Earth. I got to know about coding in detail and all the credit goes to Programming Pathshala for giving me confidence with my coding skills.
Amazing Prakhar, It has been lovely having a word with you, but before you leave, any piece of advice for our fellow SDE’s in making?
Yes, sure. I would like to say that if u think a particular topic or course is tough, don’t give up and just be consistent. You will see that in no time, the course or topic will get interesting and will be easier. Keep the curiosity alive as I was curious all the time to learn new things and that motivated me. I would suggest everyone to try and learn more at every opportunity in life. Lastly, every time you achieve a goal, always tell yourself that you have done a good thing to self-motivate yourself.
Thank you so much for those amazing words Prakhar, We wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Take Care!
