My Interview Experience with Gojek SDE
In conversation with Sumeet Bansal, a student of Programming Pathshala who has gotten placed with Gojek as Associate Software Engineer just after completing his studies. Read about his complete interview preparation and how he channelled all his efforts towards one source.

Hello Sumeet, tell us a little about yourself.
Hi everyone, this is Sumeet Bansal and I am a final year student pursuing B. tech in Computer Science from Lovely Professional University. I will now be joining Gojek as a full time Associate Software Engineer. It feels great to be here as it has always been my dream company to work with.
Great Sumeet, So can you tell us what motivated you to be an SDE?
So basically, I was always interested in Computer Science and got into coding through my college and started enjoying it. I started doing Data Structures and Algorithms on my own and through blogs and videos but my preparation was scattered. Soon, I got to know about Programming Pathshala as Vivek Bhaiya and Bharat Bhaiya taught for a period of time in LPU and I learned a lot from them in a very less time. I had decided then that I would take up the course because I was motivated to learn more. This is when Programming Pathshala helped me focus and helped me channel all my efforts into one course; Renaissance. I did not waste any more time on searching videos and planning what to next because Programming Pathshala did that for me. I started with resume building and Programming Pathshala helped me a lot in it. They provided live sessions and reviewed my resume which helped me improve my resume building skills and all I had to do was focus and put efforts. After a while, I applied for Gojek and here we are today!
That’s Lovely, so can you describe your interview process with Gojek?
Yes, gladly. The interview rounds I would say, were at a medium level. There was an online assessment at first which consisted of questions related to Data Structure and Algorithms. There were further interviews such as machine coding round, solo coding rounds and final interview.
The first round was a solo coding round. It was a ‘take home’ assignment and it required me to apply solid coding principles, object orated programs, problems and I was asked to build a project. Next day, I had a machine coding pairing round. Interviewer reviewed my code and then asked me to add an extension on that project for a limited time. The final interview was the tech interview where questions were asked about projects and core computer subjects. After that, I received my offer letter from their end.
Amazing Sumeet, it has been lovely having a word with you, but before you leave, any piece of advice for our fellow SDE’s in making?
Yes, the most important thing is don’t go around looking for different resources, Programming Pathshala has it all. It does not matter if you have doubts, u can reach out to them and they will help you with problem solving, resume building and teach you from scratch. Problems and DSA might get lengthy but the most important part is that we shouldn’t juggle between different resources. We need to follow one path and with focus and practice we can achieve our dream companies.
Thank you so much for those amazing words, Sumeet. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Take Care!
